Project Title: Support Program for SMEs in the Entire Process of Biocidal Product Approval

Business Purpose

• As the approval grace period for existing biocidal substances comes to an end, companies need to proceed with the implementation of biocidal substance approvals

• To minimize the burden on the industry, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the Ministry of Environment is implementing the 「Support Program for SMEs in the Entire Process of Biocidal Product Approval」

Support target

• 2022 Approval Grace Period Target Existing Biocidal Substances

• (Joint Submission Consortium) Biocidal substances that are part of a product type consortium actively including at least one SME as a member, with the goal of obtaining approval within 2022

• (Single Approval Substances) Biocidal substances reported independently by SMEs for individual approval
